Expectations Earpiece I 140,00

Expectations Earpiece I

Introducing the Expectations Earpiece I from Apiliotis Jewellery. This handcrafted masterpiece features a captivating organic shape that gracefully curves around the ear.

Crafted with utmost care, this earpiece is made from 100% Recycled Sterling Silver. It undergoes meticulous hand-carving on wax and casting using the lost-wax or “cire-perdue” technique.

Designed exclusively for the right ear, the Expectations Earpiece I requires a single ear lobe piercing and delicately hooks at the top with two hooks. To ensure a perfect fit, kindly provide the ear height in the order notes.

What sets our collection apart is the absence of molds in the creation process. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted using a unique technique: hot melted wax is dropped into cold water, resulting in spontaneous and one-of-a-kind shapes. Although we can predict the approximate shape, we relinquish control over the exact design. This guarantees that every piece you acquire is truly extraordinary and personalized.

Inspiration note from Caterina:

During the creation of our Perfectly Imperfect collection, we explored the theme of expectations on our journey to self-discovery.

What are our expectations? Have we ever truly received exactly what we expected? Do we genuinely need everything we desire?

The pieces in the Perfectly Imperfect collection originate from the process of dropping hot melted wax into cold water. As the wax freezes, it takes on unique shapes. While we can predict the approximate outcome, we do not have full control over the exact design. Embracing this lack of control, we surrender to the creative process. After attaining the final shapes, we meticulously carve the wax, reducing its weight and refining the aesthetic to match our vision.

Similar to life’s explorations, we must “carve” our expected shapes to fit into our reality. This piece, serves as a reminder to examine our inner expectations and carve them accordingly, shaping the person we aspire to be.
